Health & Social Care Management
The ATHE Health and Social Care Management Qualifications were designed for managers in various types of organizations including hospitals and care homes in both the public and private sectors.
Whilst the core competencies were drawn from the British healthcare system it has also been carefully considered that many managers may wish to use these qualifications abroad and so international aspects of healthcare policy and practice have also been included.
ATHE encourages centers to combine the study of ATHE qualifications with a work placement relevant to the unit the learners are studying. All assignments must still be assessed in accordance with the guidelines set out in the Delivering ATHE Qualifications Handbook.
Progression Routes
These qualifications can be topped up to an honors degree or an MSc. Topping up to a degree will typically take between six and twelve months of further study depending on what degree you want to do. Part-time/distance courses are also available.
Qualification Specifications
Each of our qualifications’ details is contained within a qualification specification document which includes the learning outcomes, assessment criteria, indicative content, and further information.
